Story Behind the Song
I wrote this in my Music Theory class at MHS in Spring '02 for an assignment, which was just to create a 32-measure piece that used the "standard" AABA format. A funky bassline and sixteenth-note drum groove inspired this UBER-funky piece. I decided to use the alto sax as the solo instrument here and a synthesizer part to flesh the rest out.
