"Song about the One Ring" | genre: Romantic | |
|
|

|
I help some of my friends to make a "Lord of the Ring nomad camp for 13 years old children". They`ve asked me to create a camp-fire song for the guys. In this way this song is a by-product of this project, absulutely unuseful at a campfire...:)
This song is after the Hungarian translation (by Réz Ádám)of Tolkien`s poem. |

Story Behind the Song
"Three rings for the elf-kings under the sky,
Seven for the dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for mortal men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne,
in the land of Mordor where the shadows lie."
In Hungarian:
"Három gyűrű ragyogjon tünde-királyok kezén
Hét a nemes törpök jussa, kiknek háza cifra kĹ‘
Kilencet halandó ember ujján csillantson a fény
Egyet hordjon a Sötét Úr, szolganyájat terelĹ‘
Mordor éjfekete földjén, sűrű árnyak mezején
Egy Gyűrű mind fölött, egy Gyűrű kegyetlen
Egy a sötétbe zár, bilincs az Egyetlen
Mordor éjfekete földjén, sűrű árnyak mezején"
