	Story Behind the Song There are certain questions that would only do you a dis-service if I were to answer them. Such as the ever popular "What does that song mean?" My question to you therefore is what does it mean to you? Because in the end, that's what's important. I know what it means to me & I would hate to cloud your experience of the song with my unending and ultimately misleading explanation. The song was written while I was working at an after hours club here in Vancouver, B.C., Canada in about ten or fifteen minutes. I write like that. I get these little melodies and lyrics in my head and I try to just get them out. This one was originally sung into my answering machine at home while I was at work. I just got this idea and decided to phone my machine and record it before the idea was gone. So there I was at this big empty club, singing into the phone. Answering machines are great substitutes for recording studios when you're in a pinch. The song took about 4 hours to record. We went through full passes of the song several times, recording both rhythm guitar and voice until we got one we liked. We then kept it and Marcus told me to go home. When I came back a couple of days later, I was amazed at what he had done with the song. The guitar work & production he put into this EP was, and, still is, awewsome.
