Story Behind the Song
In late 1982, after disbanding our first project together, Pike O'Brien, my partner and I, Keith Burns, (now of award winning country band Trick Pony) joined forces with a local keyboard playing wizard by the name of Ken Matson to form the local band "White Lie".
Ken was a very nice chap, a very accomplished organist, mini-moog player, songwriter and programmer. Playing with Ken was a very important chapter in my life for it was from he that I first learned about the basics of playing and programming synthesizers.
Keith later left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by two college friends of mine; accomplished bass player Daniel Ivester and lead guitarist vocalist Randy Godwin.
Ken, myself, and the drummer (whose name I do not recall) recorded this song at a small 8-Track Studio in Forest Park, Ga. back in 1983 that was owned by John Attina, who also produced the track. John now runs the famous “Attina's Music Store” in Forest Park, Ga. that has been a very strong musical force in the community for over 30 years.
The whereabouts of my friend Ken sadly are unknown.
