Story Behind the Song
The music and ideas for this one came to me one morning, fully formed, as I was just drifting out of sleep. that happens a lot. The lyrics are some of my favorite. it basicly says live life to the fullest. better to regret things you have done, rather than things you havn't
Lyrics
I've lived my whole life through
Just trying to find the answer
You know I've had my share
Of pain and love and laughter
All my dreams of youth
I had they faded early
In those dreams I caught
A glimpse of what comes after
How bad could it be if god took back his only son?
Who's gonna be the next in line to be the chosen one?
All the things I do
I try to get through faster
So I can get onto the next step on that ladder
I never stop to see just where it was that I was headed
I never figured out its the little things that matter
How bad could it be if god took back his only son?
I don't wanna be the next in line to be the chosen one
Time is taking me,
I'm taking my time
I pray its not too late
To turn water into wine
What I was waiting for
Has already been and gone
holding back for fear
I waited for too long
Looking back, I can see
There's things I should have done
It may be too late now,
The race is already run
You can learn the hard way,
To live each day like it's your last
Look around you now-don't waste your time
Regretting the past.
How bad could it be, if god took back his only son?
Looks like I'm the next in line to be the chosen one
Time is taking me,
I'm taking my time
I pray its not too late
To turn water into wine
Seasons turning let it
Ripen on the vine
Take the fruit of life
And make it into wine
Out of time
Out of time
