	Story Behind the Song I was in Nashville hammering out a songwriting contract with Paramount and decided to do a little recording on the side. I took 'New Man' which I wrote after an ex-girlfriend dumped me and gave it an upbeat, down-south overhaul. It was recorded with some great session players on the second take in Sound Stage Studio's Nashville. Lyrics You don’t care about me anymore; you’ve got a new man Wedding bells were going to chime for sure Now I’m the old boy Nothing more, at best, than just a friend. You don’t care about me anymore you’ve got the big lights You say look on the brighter side But it’s all dark to me What else can I see with my eyes shut tight?
