	Story Behind the Song This piece was written for my first composition teacher and friend who just died one day--no rhyme or reason. The subtitle "Scenes for a Funeral" is in reference to his funeral I attended. There was a West African Drumming Group performing there and it was raining that day. These two elements are in the piece. This is the Orchestral version, the original includes instrumentation for SATB Choir and Pipe Organ.
