An acoustic song, with heartfelt, insightful lyrics and vocals, but an uplifting sentiment. |

Story Behind the Song
The motivation for the song was a sort of rut I was going through with certain changes going on in my life. So, the first line starts it off with "Searching for something, I can't live without/ All I need is someone to tell me, I'm myself". The whole idea of the song is we, myself more or less, is searching for wholeness in a world of noise and confusion, with obstacles in the way, but "It's Alright" comes through in the chorus. It's alright to cry. It's alright, no one ever wants to say goodbye. It took maybe 20 minutes to write and to record it only took about two takes. The sound quality isn't that great, but, it's just me, my acoustic and the mic, and that's how it is. The song is about finding out, we don't need overlush orchestration or guitars to meddle.
Lyrics
Searching for something
I can't live without
All I need is someone to tell me I'm myself
Cos I've spend half my life
Wondering what I've done
And I'll spend the rest of my life
Wondering what's to come
I stop dreaming when I'm asleep
And I pray to the Lord
My soul to keep
Cos I waste most my time
Chasing theives and liars
I chase them away because
It helps to cease the fire
Chorus
But It's alright
It's alright to cry
It's alright
No one ever wants to say goodbye
Solo
Behind the noise and confusion
Lies the sanctity of illusion
It's to never find
What's your looking for
It's to always ask yourself
What's behind that door
Repeat Chorus twice
