	Story Behind the Song Erin originally wrote this song for an acoustic CD she put out in 2001, Mermaid on Dusty Grounds. The band soon picked it up, however, and with the addition of some mesmerizing beats and a sindwinding flute part, "Rains" was born. She wrote this song in a blue room, listening to the rain and waiting for an old lover... it took about fifteen minutes to write the bones and the lyrics.
