Please note that the tile on the file should read "Elated Silence," and not "Il mio umore." I apologize for any inconvenience.
"Elated Silence" is sung both in Italian (first half) and English (second half). It is written for piano and voice, and it has a soft introspective mood.

Story Behind the Song
Empathy and sympathy towards other people's feelings inspired this poem and song. Particularly it speaks of the relationship between loved ones. The lyrics tell of how sweet is the harmony created by sympathy towards a partner, and how important it is not to make selfish remarks, 'a word causing pain.' The song was written in Toronto during about two weeks. It took and entire evening to record and about 5 takes.
Lyrics
Here is the homonymous poem and lyrics of "Elated Silence."
Suprema quiete
Suprema quiete che dimora
stando attenti a non nuocere di parola,
è così facile a dirsi
se si pensa solo per sé,
con risultati molti tristi
che rimpiangerai perché,
non è in te.
(Elated Silence)
Elated silence sweet as rain
not to say a word causing pain,
unkind remarks are easily spoken
if egos are made to lead the way,
the pleasing tune soon is broken
and you'll regret it every day,
cause it's not in you.
