	Story Behind the Song This song came into being out of a collision of ideas; none of which make even a tiny bit of sense, really. 1. The title was inspired: a. Because in Japanese Anime (especially the music) the titles either translate badly, or - better yet - they try to put the title in English, with some rather twisted results. AND b. I read that the Japanese version of the 007 film "Dr. No" was "007 is the Killing Number." I thought to myself - "how COOL! I couldn't think of anything that cool if I sat all night!" So of course I sat for a while trying to do just that! Happily, I hit on the right one within an hour. Once I had the title "Electric Death Gal!," I needed the music. A rather frenetic beat (in 6/4 time) popped into my head almost instantly. Now it got a little tougher. I had weird music, and a weird title ... but what the HECK was the song going to be ABOUT? I started thinking about what sort of anime 'Electric Death Gal' would be like; and suddenly I had the words. The musical adventures of an ultra-cool spy gal. Again, I twisted the words around a bit to get that 'not quite translated right' sort of feeling to it. When it came time to record this song, we got it in one take for the music and two takes for the vocals. We didn't want to overwork it; this song needs to be fast and loose.
