	Story Behind the Song This song commonly gets misnamed "Thicker Than Water" which was part of my point. You've heard the phrase blood is thicker than water, but I believe there is a stronger bond, one not dictated by circumstances out of your control; your birth into a family. Your birth family doesn't choose you and vice versa. There is a connection that you will only make with certain people that are like you and feel the same emotions and share the same thoughts. With the diversity of the world it's amazing that you find these people that can seem so close and in some cases closer to you than your family. By the way, my parents kick ass. So this isn't the ramblings of an abused or neglected offspring.
