	Story Behind the Song Recorded at my home 4track studio, at the Argyle jam house in Vancouver, sometime in 1996. I got these tourist maracas, and wanted to record with them. I always let the songs write themselves, then after a while I know what they mean. Lyrics I wonder if anyone can hear this. There's so many singers I'm lucky to get 15 seconds, and I'd like to make a difference but simple words and clever rhymes won't save us from this endless compromise. What I said, it's no lie, so I'll cross my heart and hope to die. Guess for now I'm not dead, so I'll cross my heart and go to bed. I'm worried about everything in general. I'm ready for chaos but chaos has already been here, and I'm standing in the ruins, pretending I'm a millionare still waiting for my cheque. It's in the mail.
