	Story Behind the Song Since starting to write for my upcoming jazz record, I hadn't written any rock songs in some time. This was a departure back to the sort of songs I wrote in years past. The music and lyrics came together in a few hours. The recording took many days because of all the layered guitars and vocals. The lyrics are supposed to suggest someone who is experiencing grief from a loss, although not necessarily from a literal death and the words say.
