	Story Behind the Song The melody and some basic chords were started on the NYC subway. When I got home I finished the melody and the harmony on the piano. It took about a day to write it. The idea was to having a lot of moving harmony while keeping the melody simple. I recorded 2 takes and kept the best one. I had written lyrics afterward but they have yet to be recorded. Lyrics I have often wondered why Each night I close my eyes I seem to change my mind The rhyme and reason for our lives are not why I contrive in diaries of mine the words which once rang true are empty lines, to me I need to hear a melody And so do we-- Oh can't you see My love for you is strong But sing a soft love song Before I close my eyes
