	Story Behind the Song My working title for this song was "Stranded," because I felt that with all the motion in this composition, there was also a paradoxical feeling of suspension, like being marooned in the middle of a busy intersection, or finding yourself floating inside a rubik's cube being twisted by a child. As I worked with the song, the metaphor of a tightrope walker emerged: a controlled haste; a distance to traverse. Playing this piece is like walking a tightrope; you can't stop, but if you go too fast you'll lose your balance and fall.
