As an artist I often feel like I am on the outside looking in. This song explores the idea that Corporate America is a train that is always running. You can always choose to ride, or chose not to just the same.
    CD: Moving to Hollywood

    Story Behind the Song
A friend of mine who stayed in Hollywood with me for a while decided to move back home. I drove with him cross country on Route 66 until we arrived in his home town in the suburbs of Chicago. It amazed me that all of his friends were still living at home with their parents. Although many of them were artists, most of them worked in some corporate job or another. I thought about how distant we become from our dreams and how everything changes, and everything stays the same.

    Lyrics
Come and stay with me and it won't be like old times
I wish you could see what I do when I see you
Now that everything's changed, and everything's still the same
I guess everything changes and everything stays the same
Except they don't mind when you drink their beer
And pay no mind that your never here
    They're just holding on
    You're already gone
All the old numbers ring all the same places
But now it's long distance adn we're talking basics
We're barely holding on, we've been gone so long
Years down the line you've paid off the fear
The kids are in college but they're still here
    Now you're holding on
    They're already gone
Corporate America is a ride on a train, you know
And Down @ the station, they're callin' your name
    But you're gone
    And I'm here to stay
So come and stay with me now that everything's changed
