    Story Behind the Song
Being alone in a hot, dry room in the middle of an August weekday afternoon makes you think about what else you could be doing with your time. "More Than Exist" is about the desire to overcome the temptations to take the easy way out as well as the human tendencies towards procrastination. The lyrics were written by bassist Jose Soegaard in about 25 minutes, while the music was placed to the lyrics in a collaboration between all band members, taking roughly an hour to an hour and a half. Recorded at Virtual Productions Studios, "More Than Exist" did not take very long to track and mix, only a few hours total for the whole process.

    Lost again.
Seems like I've been here before.
It's like the mistake that seems so routine.
    Frustrating. Procrastinating.
I wish I could alter the things that I've seen.
Waiting for the world to find me a dream.

    Chorus.

    And I'll try again to get myself going;
I can't stand to watch it all slipping
Through my hands. I've wasted time waiting
For the sand to reach the end.

    Fill
But I never realized till now
I'm the only one who can make it happen...

The winter of life slowly creeps up on you.
How dim are the lights, how different the view.
As twilight sets in, looking back it's a shame
That I have had only myself to blame.

Waiting for your life to meet you face to face.
When in reality you're looking the wrong way.
That passive frame of mind will get me to the grave.
Having accomplished nothing, all the days a slave.

    Bridge.
It seems the faster you're going,
The harder it is to keep up the pace.
If I could go back to the silence
And red skies I'd have it all erased.

    End.
