A song written about a beautiful girl who is/was an artist and a clever mathematician. She worked 3 jobs, drank too much coffee and smoked too many cigarettes; she was sad and very tired. |

Story Behind the Song
I was getting out of her car after a night of beers and pool. She looked so pained, so sad. Her eyes were not their ususal color. I wanted to touch her cheek to let her know she would be okay but I didn't. Instead I wrote the song for her.
Lyrics
AMAZING
Resting without sleep, you see shadows of yourself. You pay attention to feeling full but not feeling well. It seems unfair that you should feel so cracked inside.
Is there no one that can hold you when you feel this tired?
Youre amazing. Youre amazing. Youre amazing. In light of your distress, do you feel my caress?
Timing is everything, even the color of your eyes, when youre turning half way around as if you could disguise the hated pose and the dying trace. The one that knows to touch your face will be to heal you most way.
Too worn and too afraid to chase or catch the dreams you've made, just one more reason I could love you. The way you clench and the way you rage, the way you curse the empty stage, I wonder if youll ever realize.
Youre amazing. Youre amazing. Youre amazing. In light of your distress, do you feel my caress?
Yes, youre amazing.
