This is about some guy named Steve. It was written in February of 2000.
Lyrics
I was walking down the street / when this guy I thought I knew / came up and he looked at me / and he said "How are you?" / I said "Sir, I'm doing fine." / He said, "Sir, you got a light?" / I said, "No sir, I don't smoke." / He said, "Sir, i have no life My name is Steve! / Can I borrow some money / So I can support my family?" / I said, "Hey sir, I know you. / You're my old friend from high school." / He said, "Yes I know you too. / But, I never really liked you." / I said, "Steve I want to help. / Because you won't help yourself." / He said, "Fish is all my food. / And they really are quite crude." / I always thought you would be successful / but little did I know you'd become a hobo. / Scrounging for food on the street. / And so I gave him some mousse / and a box of apple juice. / He said, "Sir, I am quite pleased. / But, you really are quite cheap." / So I chased him down the road. / And he fell into the moat / of the castle near my house / and he floated to the south / "My name is Steve!"
