Light and romantic daydreaming love song with a hint of the sixties. Simple and relaxed, acoustic in feel and touch, natural chorus on the vocals. |

Story Behind the Song
Written for a beautiful asian girl on the other side of the world. So far away, but sometimes when the light is right, and my mind catches the right mood, it seems that she's here with me.
Written spontaneously on a sunny Autumn day in Cambridge. This is my first recording - done myself in my room here at college. I've never done this before, so it took a couple of days to record...
Lyrics
I felt your touch as I was walking in a daydream...
I saw your smile in the sun.
I heard your laugh, but as I turned to meet its maker...
I looked around and you were gone.
And I know that I was dreaming –
Maybe crazy to be dreaming,
But I felt just then that you were dreaming too.
And I know I can’t be near you –
Maybe crazy to be near you,
But I felt just then that I was there with you.
I saw a flash in the reflection on the river...
The autumn colours were your hair.
I caught your eye, but as the ripples broke the water...
I looked again and you weren’t there.
And I know that I was dreaming –
Maybe crazy to be dreaming,
But I felt just then that you were dreaming too.
And I know I can’t be near you –
Maybe crazy to be near you,
But I felt just then that I was there with you.
And maybe I’m drunk –
But this cup is running dry.
And maybe I’m lost –
But we’re both beneath one sky.
And maybe I’m struck down
By the look that was in your eye.
And maybe I’m scared –
By the way that look said you were mine.
