Story Behind the Song
On January 5, 1995, My Brother Randy was the victim of Arson while fighting the Pang Warehouse fire in Seattle. This song is dedicated to Randy and the other fallen firefighters who put their lives on the line to make our communities safe and to save others.
Lyrics
(Back masked Lyrics in intro)
I'm leavin' you, it was nothin' you said.
It was nothin' you've done,
it's what has happened.
You're so confused, that I've gone away.
Every day you wake up from the morning light.
Now I sleep forever in the warm white light.
I didn't mean to make you cry! No!
Goodbye, I'm breakin' your heart.
Goodbye's they tear me apart!
And I still give you my love.
If it wasn't for this, we'd still be together.
There's a tear in your eye.
Oh and I, 've been workin' all through the night.
I'm finding a way to fight this kiss they gave me from the devil who is taking my life.
Our hearts together is eternity.
I can't go on letting you lovin' me so;
Goodbye, I'm breakin' your heart.
Goodbye's they tear me apart!
And I still give you my love.
Goodbye!!
Every day you wake up from the morning light.
Now I sleep forever in the warm white light!
I didn't mean to make you cry! No!
They tear me apart! Woe.
If it wasn't for this, We'd still be together.
There's a tear in you eye. (So Sorry).
Oh Goodbye! (repeat)
Wipe the tears from your eye.
I can't stand to see you cry. Woe!
Goodbye!
