Story Behind the Song
I actually wrote the words to this in the course of five minutes to 'show' someone that I really had tallent. They like the words. It stayed as just a poem for a while, then the band was jamming in the garage and we hit upon some nice music, and I knew that I had already written the perfect lyrics. You judge.
Lyrics
I can remember the glass
I heard the pane as it shattered down
In past tense confused screams
It cut my feet in a randomness
The tattered gown, strewn accross the leaves
It was a wintery feeling, autumn day
Naked and prostrate, she lay for all to see
Morbid glances sparking, dark intrests in me
Hand in hand we, played as children
Now the bright blue is as, dark as night
A candle's reflection of, former glory
Apologies hold me to reality
With blood in my mouth I, cried
Desires trashed and, mingled with dust
My soul bleeds, against the pain
A slow rebelion in a, tired dance
Hand in hand we, played as children
Now the bright blue is as, dark as night
A candle's reflection of, former glory
Apologies hold me to reality
Hand in hand we, played as children
Now the bright blue is as, dark as night
A candle's reflection of, former glory
Apologies hold me to reality
