Lyrics
There's this girl I know, she's 17 years old and she's just finished school. So young, so innocent, so unexperienced. Hasn't seen anything but her school, friends, the local club and her parents. After a long summerbreak she doesn't know what to do. She spends her days working at the mall, and her nights are lonely, since all her friends are too busy for her. She gets older, and when she's sixty two, she is still alone, she still hasn't seen the world and just sits and waits for death. This is not how life should be... have fun, make the best out of it...
And here's Jim, 41 years old. His wife and kids call him Jimmy. He's got a great job, a house, a family and a dog. Everyone tells him how happy he should be. But he still has the feeling something is missing, something's wrong. What about all the time he used to spend with his friends, playing music and watching movies? What about all their plans about changing the world? What will be his legacy, when he dies? Will anyone really miss him, or even notice he's not there anymore? What was the meaning of his life? Didn't he just forget to have fun?
Life is short
So I know that I'll be gone Saturday
What I want
Is a place where I can live my own way
And that's it
Ohno, I'm not gonna tell you what's wrong
I'll just sing you this song
