The week of September 4th, 2001 I began reading Carl Sagan's last book, "Billions and Billions" which he wrote in the hospital during his last days. Even with his own destiny so uncertain, his biggest concern was that we didn't destroy our enviornment and especially ourselves. Fed up with so many things, I began writing this song. I finished the song Sept. 14th. |

Lyrics
If I may and if I might change this world with you tonight, if I should stumble and if I should fall, please won't you hear me, hear my prayer tonight. I've been searching for the truth. I know you all have been searching too. All we've seen is life through their eyes and I won't you to help me see on through. I can see good things in all of you. I know you all can see it too. I want you to see life through my eyes and I want you to help me break on through. If I may and if I might, change the world with you tonight, if I should stumble and if I should fall, please won't you hear me, hear my prayer tonight.
