Recorded last April, this was me and Sco's first track since Scienz of the Sounds. Vibes and bass, lo-fi style. | MP3.com CD: Greatest Losses - buy it! MP3.com CD: Music for the UrbanProletarian - buy it!
Label: Urban Proletarian
Credits: [2002] Written by Negro Sco, Produced, Mixed, and Mastered by Ras Reb for ReKlusive Music, Recorded at Vinyl Pantry Studios, Kansas City, MO |
Story Behind the Song
This track was also recorded at the Vinyl Pantry (Luke's house) in Midtown. It only took 2 takes I'm proud to say, Sco was on point. Just a Few Words is my favorite song ever recorded with Sco, his name was written all over it when it was concocted.
Lyrics
I reflect on the past, watch the sands in my hour glass/
soothing to the eye, a hypnotic high/
I can't describe this feeling in rhyme,
spiritual flight/
the more I write lightens the load, stress put on hold/
euphoric bliss, in an open mind-state, as safe as my dreamscape/
far from ready to rest as the stars are hard to caress/
please, miracles at your mercy, that's blasphemy/
pollutin' souls, you better think twice, cause karma trails behind/
tallyin' every bad deed, tallyin' every bad deed/
