Lyrics
Great but weak,
The pavement speaks under the blazing heat,
beneath the selfish flames that disgrace the meek.
Terror scarred the nation and punctured its back
Tears fall as the twin structures collapse,
along with great vision from both their eyes.
Now the streets echo with hopeless cries.
The sound of it, stacked like pounds of bricks,
hurts the city that once launched a thousand ships.
A gap created as the smoke rises and burns,
yelling to make sure that the crisis is heard.
The fumes of grief crawl on and damage the skin,
but all the victims still deny the savage within.
Every soul and heart provides light in the fog,
even the criminals protect the rights of the law,
but the sight of the gore looks like absurd fiction
and the burning flesh only impairs the blurred vision.
The faint optics try to dodge the stray objects,
but even if they live we still have to pay homage.
Humans become rats running through the thick dust
as the coward devil laughs at his sick lust
