Mellow, laid-back, bluesy jazz song with a strong back beat. Indicative of some recent new directions I'm taking. |

Story Behind the Song
A situational setting or mood is what I was after with this song. The title was inspired by a label on an empty packet of cigarettes that lay on the bar top in front of me while I tried to understand what a drunk next to me was talking about. That's merely the inspiration - this song will probably be fleshed out in the future to take full advantage of the extra room in my new house, when I get it. This song was performed and arranged in the space of two days, with the guitar being recorded late at night when I should have been sleeping for work the next day. Hence, the guitar suffers a bit from a very tired guitarist (exhausted, really), but maybe that adds a bit of flavor. You can tell I'm most comfortable with the improv bit at the end. Drums will need some improvement eventually as well. Still, a fun little track!
(recorded in May, 2002, in my bedroom)
