	Story Behind the Song I wrote the entire song in 3 days. I was staying with my girlfriend (wife now), and my studio gear was down the street at a friend's house, set up to mix an album we just recorded. For three days I sat on Julie's couch with just a keyboard on my lap and headphones. It was the first time I completed a song without all my studio gear and it was refreshing. It was as close as this keyboard player could get to strummin' in the shade. The words are simple, but they work with the music well. I know that a song about finding your own way, own road, own self is not the most original idea. But niether are the thousands of love songs out there. Boy meets girl, girl breaks up, boy writes song about how no one else in the history of the world has ever hurt so much as he does right now without the girl. Hey, I just got an idea, gotta go.
