	Story Behind the Song This song has 3 different meanings. Meaning 1, and what inspired it : I was sleeping in the same bed with someone that I have an extreme attraction to, whom I know to be gay, however he has not admitted it to anyone, I don't think even to himself. He was drunk and nothing happened. The next few nights I found myself lonely in my bed, missing his presence. Then like I became psychotic or something, I started pretending he was actually there, like as a ghost, haunting me, taunting me. And for the next week or so I was so infatuated with him and this idea that 'Ghost' was born. Meaning 2 : Though it was inspired by meaning 1, I found other meanings as I listened to it. Number 2, 'Ghost' is a figment of imagination lead by a 'perpetual lover,' meaning the person whom you fantasize you will end up with some day, and spend the rest of your life with. Kind of like you are imagining they are always with you, and hoping for the day they come into your life.
