	Story Behind the Song This song was written about the heavy metal glory years of the mid 1980's. After working on the music for a couple of weeks and not having any concept for the lyrics it was a brainstorming session to come up with something cool that would fit the aggressive nature of the song. We originally wanted to have backup vocals in the verse sections that would highlight and accompany the guitar strummings. The vocals had to be two syllables each and hanging up in the jam spot was a big Iron Maiden rock flag. Pete took one look at it and said "that's it!!!". 'Ir-on'... 'Mai-den' and laughed hysterically. Two days later the lyrics were finished. A lot of people may talk the talk, but Pete was there. You wanna talk Venom? You wanna talk Celtic Frost? Ratt? Motley Crue? Wrathchild? Twisted Sister? He's got all the albums and still torments us with them to this day!!! It's ALLL GOOOD!!!!
