	"First Light" is the opening track on the "A Day In The Life" CD! All the songs are piano pieces played on a Yamaha C-7 studio grand piano. The high quality recording was done at Elfin Studios in Sarasota, Florida, home of Elfin Music. Elfin is well known for it's New Age music and has listening posts in stores across the country.

	Story Behind the Song This is a song that reflects how one might feel at the beginning of a new day. It was written at the piano. I tend to write quite quickly. I go with the flow of where the song wants to take me. I like to make it familiar and somewhat repetitive but at the same time I like it to go to some new places as the song progresses. I've been inspired a lot by the classical composer, Claude Debussy. He, too, would make some repetitions, but often the piece would take some gentle twists and turns and be different at the end than at the beginning. Kind of like taking a journey to some familiar places, but with some new stops along the way and coming back in a different mood or state of mind than at the start!
