	Story Behind the Song The motivation for this song was freedom, I wrote this song in a UNESCO 'Breaking the Silence' meeting, Hence the name 'Breaking the Silence'! I wrote it in about 10 minutes but it didnt become what it is until i sat down with a friend called Jason (he wrote the electric guitar part)! This song took about 5 takes but worth it in the end!!! Lyrics Verse 1 We’re breaking the silence We’re breaking the chains That were once sealed shut And we’re freeing our minds Chorus Come on, let’s celebrate The end of the slave trade Let’s shout for the freedom of all Verse 2 Now the silence is broken We should be treated the same But we’re still not done Let’s do it together, Come on…!
