The song I feared most recording, but loved recording the most. |

Story Behind the Song
There was a girl doing a presentation on Marilyn Monroe. The way she talked anout her and adored her pictures, it was like she could feel her. She ended her speech saying her goal in life was to see her grave. I just fell. The entire time she made her seem so alive and while I had already knew Marilyn was dead, I wanted her to be alive for her.
This song took about two sessions to record. I was scared to record it because unlike any of the other songs I had written I didn't have all the guitars put into their individual parts. I am happy with this recording, but if I had more tracks to record with I would have added more effect in the background.
Lyrics
She reads the lettering. There is a lot of it. A tear runs off her cheek
For her idol’s dead. And she’s always been.
Remembered by a smile and her ever changing threats.
What beautiful eyes, what lips.
No time for water. The blue is turning a frightful red.
This poison, such poison and sweetening. This poison is killing me.
Don’t follow, but follow.
We came from the water. Us blue but now a creeping red.
This poison, our poison, it’s sweetening. Her poison is killing him.
Don’t follow, but follow.
She reads the lettering. There’s a lot of it. A tear runs off her cheek
For her idol’s dead. And she has always been.
