	Story Behind the Song I wrote the music first, as I do with all of my songs. When I sat down to write the lyrics, that whole submarine crisis was going on over in Russia and we got a little reminder of the Cold War. Though this song is about world relations in general, this event is what inspired it. Lyrics It grows back, you will see, Hopelessness, jealousy. It comes back, you will see, Helplessness, controversy. Do you know what they did? Signed us off, capped the lid. Did they think we knew best? Answer's "No," now they rest. There's no trust in this world, Between us, there's almost zero. Better yet, our situation Has altered our level of cooperation. Insult us, you will see, It's unlikely we'll agree.
