Story Behind the Song
Everybody gets a solo. You can't go to Nashville and not have one like this, right? Mark Jordan, who has played with everyone from Van Morrison to Bonnie Raitt, lays down a monster stride piano solo. Tom Bukovac did his sol in one take. He's from another planet, that's all there is to it. I took the third solo, and let's just say Tommy's is a hard solo to follow.
Lyrics
Well, every time I see you
I can't help myself
I fall in love so fast and deep
I can't protect my mental health
You're everything I think of
You're everything I do
But I think I'm goin' crazy lovin' you.
To me you're not just another girl in just another place.
The last thing I needed was another pretty face.
You're everything I hope for, I want to be with you.
But I'm talkin' my whole life now how 'bout you?
Why can't you say that you love me?
Admit it to yourself you know it's true
And why can't you say that you need me, too?
How'm I supposed to know should I stay or should I go?
What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do?
What am I gonna do about me and you?
So come on back my baby. Come on back right here
There's somethin' you gotta say, there's somethin' I gotta hear.
I'm gonna ask you once time, one time and that's it.
This is your last chance that's all that you get.
