Story Behind the Song
This song was written initially on Bass for a rap song I was working on, and suddenly turned into an early form of this when Sexfinger picked up his accordion and started playing on the song. This newer version was recorded for a project I was working on in 2000.. I was going to rerecord all my old ND songs that I had lousy recordings of to 8-Track and unleash them all as MP3's on an unsuspecting world on the Nunc Dimittis Webpage.. a great idea though it was.. It was never completed.. This is probably the best thing to come out of the unfruitful sessions. I used a drum machine and the original bass line, and layered over a coouple of accordions and banjo's played by the sexfinger.. This is one of the only songs not featuring any guitar. I had an idea in 1997 to start a band where The Accordion replaced the Guitar as the main instrument, You'd have Accordion, Bass, Drums, and singing.. Although I had SF to sign in on Accordion, I could never find additional members who wanted to participate.. Go Figure. This is one out of 3 songs Sex and I wrote for that project.
Lyrics
Alienate Me / Turn Me Inside - Out of Me / I'm Right, I swear I'm Right / I'm Ripe for the Taking / But Why Highness, Why? / Why is there Shyness? / The Overture is Quiet Again.
But, Why Is there Silence Here Tonight?
Why Is there Silence In Tonight?
The OVAL closes in on ME and I'm Alright.
The Overture Is Quiet Again.
