	Story Behind the Song It was originally a poem I wrote in 1993 about where your soul goes when you commit suicide. Instead I changed it to mean your soul is lost when your Heart is Broken. You feel that emptiness inside. This took 10 hours to record. Lyrics Something happens when Hearts are broken you somehow lose yourself and darkness awaits an empty shell hidden behind the shelf Hearts Broken and spirits fly you start to speak and then you turn and cry, and you say Love was kind to me it blanketed my soul Love is so hard to please it conjours up control Broken souls all lined in a row no one could tell who was heartbroken and empty minds and thoughtless words screaming yet not spoken
