Story Behind the Song
This song developed over a few years until one year when the current bassist of the band overheard AC toying around with it and forced him to finish it.
Lyrics
***2 Miles***
Sunday afternoon, Mr. Wilson wants to drive.
Grabs his coat and hat and heads to go outside
Mr. Wilson drives 2 miles to the gallon
Warm breath hits the air. Steamy smoke starts to rise
Rolling Wheels go forth as Mr. Wilson gently sighs
Slowly down the boulevard, the wind blows high
Thoughts work out like knots slowly become untied
The road greets his car, like a mind that's open wide
Shiny red machine, Mr. Wilson's greatest pride
He sees old friends, but he keeps on passing by
Mr. Wilson drives, 2 miles to ther gallon
He slows his car, pulls into his drive
He goes inside, gives his wife a hug good bye
Goes to his room, Mr. Wilson's time to lie
He crosses his legs, folds his hands
And he closes his eyes...
Mr. Wilson drives, Mr. Wilson drives
Mr. Wilson wants to drive
