Story Behind the Song
Love song I wrote for my high school sweetie in 1978. The song was modified adding a different introductory verse for a girlfriend at the time (1985) and finally re-written at the time of recording to CD in 2001. Still a love song with taste.
Lyrics
There is some strange sort of entity,
Grabbing hold of me,
Building a fortress in my heart.
Dont know what to call it,
I cant explain it,
But I miss you more, every time we part.
You, You are my kind of girl
You, You are my kind of girl (yeah yeah)
You, you are my kind of woman child, free and wild,
You fill up my world.
When I met you we were just young kids,
Living in a world of lust.
Still I knew when I kissed your sweet lips,
This girl is a must.
You, You are my kind of girl
You, You are my kind of girl (yeah yeah)
You, you are my kind of woman, you drive me wild,
You fill up my world.
And through time we rose before we fell,
As we climbed through some awkward stages,
And still when I kissed your sweet lips,
Precipitated rages.
Instrumental Break
You, You are my kind of girl
You, You are my kind of girl (yeah yeah)
You, you are my kind of woman child, free and wild,
You fill up my world.
Repeat & fade
