	Story Behind the Song This is one of those songs where the lyrics just came to me. I guess it's really just a reflection of how life can seem a little hopeless at times- dreams washing away into the reality that has become your life; chances passed up. People getting swallowed up by their own shortcomings with the setting depicted in small town America- although the story could take place anywhere.
