	Story Behind the Song I wrote this song at a time in 2001 when my foundation as a musician was starting to get secure. The song expresses my satisfaction at having gotten to a place I wasn't sure I could get to. Lyrics I'm waiting for a story A story to begin The ticking of the clock has for some time been wearing thin Now, given all of the memories that you could have how would you like your time here to pass? I've seen the castle And I have seen the queen I've seen the river rising Down by the city walls where I've been and It makes so little difference when your outside looking in if can't feel the warm from the fires then they may as well not be burning now I used to think that all of the cynics were lying but I haven't been saved yet and I may die trying I feel my faith was being held in custody so much time getting tied up and so many ties fading on me There are parts of the city where I've been told not to go where the risk was too high and the chance for redemption too low but what I found were smiles just as broad as thier scars and a night sky so clear you could read by the stars now I used to think that all of the cynics were lying but I haven't been saved yet and I may die trying I feel my faith was being held in custody so much time getting tied up and so many ties fading on me
