    Story Behind the Song
The lyrics for this track were finalized by singer, Andrew Snider while in the studio tracking for "About Time". He and producer, Troy Luccetta had a bit of a fatigue induced pow-wow during one of the sessions and some of the lyrics for this track are loosely based on that incident.

    Lyrics
I’m reeling and you push and you pull me down.
    I am forever seeking solace.
I look to you…you utter not a single sound.

And, I’ve been searching for some long sought after truth,
Like eyes that know no torment,
They bide their time, distracted in their youth.

In your eyes, the fallacy I find.
    The explanation offered (is)
    A burden on my mind.

Spinning, your words have been etched into my head,
As for you, they were in passing, (and you've)
    Forgotten what was said.

You leave me hanging on your words spoken untrue,
They blister deep upon my being.
Lashing out, I send mine to you.

In your eyes, the fallacy I find.
    The explanation offered
    A burden on my mind.

In your eyes, the fallacy I find.
    The explanation offered
    A burden on my mind.
In my eyes, the vision I will see
Till that for which I’m searching
    Becomes a part of me.

Sometimes words are spoken tongue in cheek
With no thought to their effect.
And, although you don’t remember them,
    They’ve cut me (deep) and…
    I will never ever forget.

(Cause all that you see, just reminds you how you used to be
And, it rains down on me in a fallacy, this inconsistency.)
(Cause all that you see just reminds you how you used to be
And it rains down on me, it’s a quandary… Oh, Ryan can’t you see.)
