Story Behind the Song
This was a song I wrote from the gut. It describes something I was feeling at the time I wrote it. It can have miltiple
interpretations. The recording took several days in my studio. Dalton Hagner is featured on the sax and Dick Bailey on the lead guitar.

Blue Moon Blues

Verse I:
I've got some moon blues for you on sale.
Find me each day in the lover's jail.
You know I'll buy, sell or trade,
things lovers bring.
Blue, moon blues, on sale.
Verse II:
Bad times and sad times to put you down.
Buy some from me, just a buck a pound.
Guaranteed to hurt you more, deeper
than before.
Blue, moon blues, on sale.
Verse III:
I've got love lies and night signs
for your nights.
Buy some from me while the price
is right.
Every lover needs, what my products
will bring.
Blue, moon blues, on sale.
Verse IV:
I have some heartaches and heart-
breaks to make you stay.
Tell me right now, how much you'll
pay.
Will you pay a tear or two, for a
lover that's untrue?
Blue, moon blues, on sale.
Verse V:
Wise words from songbirds to make
your days.
Trade an oath of love, for when
you'll pay.
I'll tell the judge of love he failed,
when he sent you to the jail.
Blue, moon blues, on sale.
