    Story Behind the Song
Dahlia wrote this poem shortly BEFORE 9/11 and of course we all marveled at her usual level of precognition. Of course she had been singing all summer about the forthcoming destruction of NYC, and then, well...
The only thing composed in this performance is the poem, and we basically decided we liked Jimmy's "drum and bass" type groove. Beyond that the harmony, notes and timbres are all improvised. We did another completely different version earlier in the session which was also very good, but completely different.
