    Story Behind the Song
The song is about the struggles and regrets guy's can have when in an unhealthy relationship and at the same time how some girls tend to look for a father figure and try to latch on by building unheathy soul ties through sexual activity...it is a mans appology, and proclimation that healing and strengh come from above.

    Lyrics
    Hope and Apologies
    Lyrics: Lee
    Music: Boyd

    Her beauty grips
    It’s wrong I know
I feel the burn and I’ve
    I’ve got to go
    She wants her man!
    I don’t break free
But she don’t know that it’s
    It’s not me
Oh…my hope is in X2 YOU!!!
You seemed so beautiful that night
Oh and it comes in waves
So delicate that I broke down and stayed
    I smell of her
    It’s wrong I know
    She wants (me) to stay
    But I’ve got to go
    This must end!!!
    Can’t you see?
You need your dad, no you
    You don’t need me
Oh…my hope is in X2 YOU!!!
You looked so beautiful that night
Oh and it comes in waves
So delicate that it was hard not to stay…
    We’re innocent (that’s nonsense)
    I’m innocent (that’s nonsense)
Oh…my hope is in X4 You!!!
Down on my knee’s its hope on display
Down on my face to deal with the pain (hide the shame)
You seemed so beautiful that night
Oh and it comes in waves
So delicate that I could hardly say…bye

I’m sorry..., I’m sorry you never really knew him, I’m sorry I understood and still treated you the way I did. I guess I was just too weak. But I’ve been changed, and I find my strength in a Father who gave His only Son to call you His daughter. And He keeps His promises, and He wants you to know that if you cling to Him, He will never leave you; you’ll never be alone again. And this is our hope and my apology…
