Story Behind the Song
This song was written by L. A. Thayer. It's about my wife and five daughters. Wrote and composed at Red River Recording Studio in Sidney, Ohio. The lyrics to the song took about 60 minutes to write. Six Ladies was recorded after about for takes, which ate up about four hours studio time.
Lyrics
Well I'm just a man with one thing on my mind,
Trying to take a shower and to get to work on time,
Can't find my brush or my shaver anywhere,
My oh my I'm feeling some despair
Chorus:
Six ladies round me night and day,
I don't know if I'm coming or going to play,
Six ladies round me all the time,
Somebody please tell me their simply mine.
(2)
Well I come home from work all hungry and tired,
Sometimes they treat me like I just got fired,
I give them what they want and them some to,
Here they come again, this will have to do
(3)
Well doen those dishes and moppin kitchen floors,
spendin lots of money and goen to the stores,
This is what they do to make things right,
I don't have a chance, I'm leaving for the night.
