	Story Behind the Song Some of the worst things that I could never imagine happened all at once, and my feelings were torn at the same time. The main motivation was staring me in the face. Lyrics Ready to wake up but I'm still asleep, Live a new day, yet the evil still creeps, A new life begins, unscathed and uncut, When you lay awake with your eyes wide shut, The sky goes from blue to black, what just happened, Get me out of the hell, this dream that I'm having, When you're surrounded with people with no heads on their shoulders, And the doors you open, are 500 pound boulders, The clouds thunder like the rumble in your belly, The air that you breathe, it makes you breathe heavy, You scrounge for food, yet your standing in line, And looking for clocks, when their is no time, Pounding ears like nails in a coffin, Cold in your lungs makes you start coughin', The real world as we know it, I should be scared, See it with me, I'm living this nightmare. (Chorus) Inside four walls, so there's no escape, When you can't move your legs that are wrapped in tape, No voice to scream for help, it hurts to speak, And blind in darkness, yet you hear the rats squeak, Lying face down on a cement floor, And you know that you can't take it anymore, You wake up, 'cause it's to much to bear, Open your eyes, you were living a nightmare. It's close to 4am, snap out of the trance, The eyes roll back, it's going to relapse, The sky goes from black to red, You're fearing for your life, even though your're not dead, Gettin' knocked around by all the gusts of wind, Your body changes, when your spine starts to spin, Your arms kill from all the cuts on your wrists, Shoulders out of socket, blood drains from your armpits, You can't walk without your kneecaps, And the muscles twitch from dehydration and cramps, Surrounded in mirrors with eyes you stare, You begin to tear, when you lose your hair, No one to help you, nothing to borrow, When your ears leak bile, you nose leaks bone marrow, In dreams like this, you don't know how you'll fair, These are my dreams, and I'm living a nightmare. (Chorus) You're deep in the dream when your eyes change colors, Left all alone with no sisters or brothers, It's the struggle that makes you stay alive, When you're underwater, drowning in air, and you have to dive, It's a mystery if you stand at the Pearly Gates, Or is it the fiery Hell that awaits, Then you back away, and then you lose your mind, When you lose all your senses, and then you go blind, You can't feel the warmth of your skin, The smells of death, and the recently discarded, The sounds of the breath of another, Then you snap out, and then you see your lover, She holds you close, 'cause she's scared for you, 'Cause she has lived through the same dream, too, And in this state of confusion, you don't want this to happen, To forget about the nightmares that I'm having.
