Story Behind the Song
The song was written by husband and wife, Mike and Debbie Sierras. The song has a spiritual influence referencing the Son as in Jesus Christ. It talks about how God gave us a choice to choose Him and once we except Jesus in our Hearts we can feel alive like never before and know that heaven is waiting for us. Orginally written in 1996 and released on their CD "Alive", it was only recently the Sierras' have to come to live the message.
Produced this time by Stevie Salas and Gilby Clarke the song now has a new feel and high quality sound.
Lyrics
Well I believe we make our beds
We're only free from within our heads
And I know that I'm alive,no need to ask
the reasons why....
I feel so alive-the Son is shining down on me
And I feel so alive-heaven's gate's are waiting for me
Well I believe in who I am
So many things for me to understand
Don't bring me down, with fatal words
I'm much to high for them to hurt
I feel so alive-the Son is shining down on me
And I feel so alive-heaven's gate's are waiting for me
When we can't find our way, there's a light that we can see
There's a road that we can take-travel down
There's re-birth to start anew, there is hope and there is truth
There is strength and there is peace
when we can't seem to find our place
I feel so alive-the Son is shining down on me
And I feel so alive-heaven's gate's are waiting for me
I feel so alive-the Son is shining down, down, down on me
and I feel so alive-heaven's gate's are waiting for me
