	Story Behind the Song Hammerhead started out as an instumental by Crash with the usual help finishing it off by the rest of the band, the song ended up having lyrics by Scratch......Ace's silver sparkle Danelectro baritone guitar makes its debut here.....we recorded track by track onto computer . Speed put the drums down first, with 1 or 2 rythm guitars playing along, to lay down the foundation. The guitars were recorded at low volume on "smaller" amps (15w Ampeg Jet, 22w Fender Deluxe, 45w fender custom bassbreaker)in seperate rooms from the drums, some of these tracks made it through, but most of them are gone, being replaced by much more agressive tracks later. All tracks were mixed on computer by Steve Gramith AKA Beef Bottletone...who the rest of us think Steve did a GREAT job. It was a big departure from our last 2 projects that were done mostly live in a giant room direct to 2 inch tape and Beef made it all happen, despite the rest of us, he engineered the !@#$ outa these songs, they are all focused & musical, and a lot cheaper than....all the other stuff we usually do & wouldn't think twice about doing again....and probably will
